The only alterations I plan to make to this menu code is to add more pages to my website. While this would reduce my page weight, would it do anything to improve the speed of the page loading? I know if I remove some of my menu add-ons the menu code would be greatly reduced. The menu add-ons I currently have are items bullets, slide subs, and match widths. If I remove these I think my menu code would definitely be reduced. Then I would only have my menu structure listed on my DWT. Scott, Would recommend publishing my css style sheet, and menu add-ons as two seperate style sheets. For me I would definitely use QuickMenu again. I would prefer to be focusing on the basics of website design, and I will hopefully learn how to build css menus from scratch further on down the road. For now I am comfortable paying the $35 one month subcription because it allows me to build a nice menu and simply forgot about it. While naturally I would like to learn more about css menu construction. When I did have a technical question they were quick to answer it in their forums. Probably the best thing I have liked about QuickMenu is solid tech support. I also really like the many different publishing options they have for their menus, weather you want a internal or external menu style sheet. I think $35 for a base one month software subscription is is very reasonable. As a beginner I can build a couple of different css menus and see how they incorporate into my site. If you would like any fancy add-ons to your menu it is an extra $10. So for the menus you were looking at, I payed a subscription fee to their site. Since that they have updated their software and you have to pay for the basic css menu. When I used QM on my first site they had an online program that allowed you to build a basic no-frills css menu for free. This is the second site I used QuickMenu on. Begin to see the real impact? cheers, scott Now, imagine that you had that style inline across multiple pages. qmmc the sum of your effort is to go to the stylesheet and change "navy" to "forestgreen" (actually, to the appropriate hex color code). Anyone have advice on that? Expression Web is giving an HTML compatibility error message on a menu attribute. The error is on the menu attribute (or whatever it is supposed to be called). It does not expand and contract probably. When I use the zoom on my index.html page, everything seems to be fine except for my navigation menu. On my previous post, one forum member stated that I should examine my website using the zoom to see if they are accessible. I would love to have some forum members have a look at my restart and tell me what they think. I have used this advice and restarted my project again. I can tons of comments, and recieved a lot of solid advice. My current website consists of: I joined this forum two days and posted my previous progress. As an added benefit, hydrogen peroxide does not contain preservatives - which can be particularly beneficial for those with allergies or eye sensitivities. While both remove debris and build-up, and disinfect lenses, only hydrogen peroxide is capable of penetrating the microbial biofilms for a deeper clean. Lumen Optometric is your leading provider of eye care services, including Neurolens treatment. Contact lens cases must also be replaced every one to three months to cut the risk of infection. It is also important not to reuse or top off the solution after use. The hydrogen peroxide solution is more effective at cleaning and disinfecting contact lenses, but there is a risk of harming the eye if one were to forget applying the neutralizer. This also means it has a shorter shelf life. Making it an all-in-one solution requires certain chemicals that may not be ideal for some people who may be sensitive to certain substances. However, it is not as effective at disinfecting contact lenses as the hydrogen peroxide solution. Which One Should You Choose?īetween the two, the multipurpose solution is the more cost-effective and easy-to-use, and can be used virtually anywhere as long as you have a contact lens case or a clean surface to clean them in. Before taking out the contacts, a neutralizer must be applied to turn the hydrogen peroxide to a plain saline solution. To use it, fill a small case with the solution (most contact lenses come with such a case) and soak them for six to eight hours. Hydrogen peroxide solution is more effective at disinfecting contact lenses, but it must not touch the eye directly. Unlike multipurpose solutions, this type of contact lens solution does not “spoil,” and is ideal for people who are sensitive to certain chemicals, or for those undergoing therapy like dry eye treatment. Hydrogen peroxide solution, on the other hand, requires more time or attention. Apply a drop of saline solution in each lense to rinse before wearing it. ![]() While some types of multipurpose solutions are marketed as “no rub” products, experts recommend rubbing the lenses with it for 10 seconds to remove remaining debris. Wash your hands, put your contacts in your palm, then moisten the lenses with the multipurpose solution. Multipurpose solution, also known as all-in-one solution, is simple to use. They serve the same purpose - disinfect your contacts and remove debris - but they work in different ways. This comes from the fact that aluminum is a great at reflecting heat and bad at radiating it, even if your insulation material has a barrier installed at only one side facing downwards. Radiant barriers will prevent just that – the heat radiation from a warmer surface (the roof) to a cooler one (attic space), resulting in less energy needed to cool down the space. Well, the sun will heat your roof and insulation material which will, in time, absorb the heat and transfer it downwards to your attic space. Since most commonly used in roof structures, just imagine those hot summer months when the sun is at its peak. In order of understanding how it works, we’ll try to show it through as simple example. This means that can be either installed on one or both sides of different materials like plastic films, craft paper or cardboard or combined with some insulation material thus acting as a insulation facing material. Radiant barriers insulation is usually consisted of a thin layer of some radiant material such as aluminum, placed so it faces an air space, commonly installed in roofs and attics as heat-radiant surfaces and combined with some type of thermal insulation as heat-absorbing materials, showing best results in hot climates by reducing cooling bills during the summer. Basically, traditional insulation materials such as fibreglass for instance, are transparent to radiant heat transfer, meaning that they are affected by the change in moisture levels, which is not the case with these barriers which will maintain the same performance regardless of the changes in humidity, thus preventing your insulation material to lose its effectiveness. ![]() Now, while most insulation materials stop (or minimize) conductive and somewhat convective heat transfer, radiant barriers are used to prevent radiant heat transfer. For instance, sunrays falling on your face are a perfect example of radiant heat transfer. Finally, radiant heat travels from any heated surface and reflects in a straight line, thus heating solid object able to absorb such heat. The heat is transferred through the hot steam which occurs when some liquid or gas is heated, making it less dense thus travelling up. The best example for convection is hot steam rising from a boiling pot filled with water. For example, of you try to touch a hot stove, the heat will directly travel to your hand. Namely, heat travels in three basic ways – through conduction, convection and radiation. Conduction includes direct transfer from a hotter space or surface to a colder one. Sometimes, the insulation itself is not quite enough and should be complemented with some alternative materials, such as radiant barriers. In case you were wondering what are radiant barriers, we will herewith try to explain their basic features and functions.įirstly, let’s try to understand how heat transfer works. ![]() Of course, all the named methods should be combined in order of achieving the best possible result. Some include some common and less time and money consuming investments like weather stripping or replacing old, draughty windows with new double-glazed ones, while others include installing insulation to the most vulnerable areas within your home, like walls, ceilings, floors, foundations, attics and basements. There are a number of ways to improve your home insulation. ![]() ![]() Note that if the shared view exposes a column containing linked records, only the names of those linked records will be exposed. Last week, Google announced the addition of in-app transactions to its Android platform, allowing games like Smurf’s Village to pillage the wallets of Android users everywhere. Many other free-to-play games use this model of in-game purchases to subsidize their initial price of “free” on Apple’s App Store.
